J. K. Rowling began writing on it at the end of 2004. She revealed the title – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – on 21 December 2006. The book was released July 21, 2007. The US version has 784 pages, while the UK version has 608 pages. You can see the covers of the book by visiting the covers gallery. The jacket cover contains the following story line:

Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and destroying Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes.
