Richard Harris was born 1 October 1930 in Ireland, and sadly died on 25 October 2002. He had an extensive background in not only acting, but in other areas, including directing. Twice he had been nominated for the Academy Awards best actor category. He portrayed the Hogwarts Headmatster, Professor Dumbledore.
