Robbie Coltrane, who plays the soft-hearted half-giant Gamekeeper and Keeper of the Keys Rubeus Hagrid, was born 30 March 1950 in Rutherglen, Scotland. He is known for his roles as comedians. Mr. Coltrane plays the dangerous animal loving role of Hagrid to perfection, but he does not wish to be remembered as Hagrid. He states, “Two is fine. I wouldn’t want to be Hagrid the rest of my life. I wouldn’t want to get stuck with Hagrid. I reserve the right to play an alcoholic pimp tomorrow.” Very funny, Mr Coltrane.
